Problems with anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour comes in many different forms, from graffiti and fly-posting to drinking in the street, begging, prostitution and intimidation.  Those at the receiving end can be deeply affected, and if left unchecked anti-social behaviour can lead to violence and criminal damage.

Keeping schools secure

GCSE and A-Level results are now out and with students due to start and return to school in the next few weeks this could be a good time to review the security of your school.

Schools have a duty of care to their pupils and head teachers, together with the leadership teams, are responsible for putting a robust security policy in place and reviewing it on an annual basis.

The growing risk of acid attacks

Last November we wrote about the risks security guards face on a regular basis from gun and knife crime.  Statistics show that gun and knife crime has been increasing, but the latest and growing risk of attacks are from acid.

This is not a new crime but the number of attacks has risen sharply and has led to police being issued with emergency acid attack response kits.

Warehouse security review

The good news is that crime rates within the UK Transportation and Storage sector dropped 16% between 2012 and 2016 (according to Home Office crime statistics), but this doesn’t mean companies should become complacent about their security arrangements.

There are a number of ways you can keep your warehouse secure.  Start by looking at the potential areas of weakness; entry and delivery points, inventory storage, personnel and visitors.

How to choose the right security company

Choosing the right security company for your organisation or home is an important decision and there are a number of things to consider.

Firstly; what is it that you require?  Is this something you can answer or do you need an expert to review your site/property and provide you with recommendations?  If you are able to answer the question yourself it will probably be easier for you to identify potential suppliers.

Participating in the 82.5kg weight class, Sonny has not only broken a World Record with a 165.5kg lift and a European Record with 260.5kg, but he was also awarded Best U20 at the championships.

Increasing attacks on hospital staff

In the wake of recent events we should all be applauding anyone working in a hospital or as part of the emergency services.  They spend their days (and nights) helping us when we need them most and yet the number of assaults they face on a daily basis is increasing each year.
