Working in the manned security sector can provide an interesting career opportunity.  If you like working with people and have the skills required there are many different options and roles available.

Following on from the previous blogs on outsourcing security I thought it was worth mentioning the relationship between a security company and its clients.  Once you’ve been through the process of selecting the right company to provide your security services you want to have an honest, open and trusting relationship between you.  After all they are taking responsibility for keeping your property and people secure, you are giving them keys, alarm codes and access to your business, and that’s not something to take lightly.

It’s the beginning of May, Easter has been and gone and schools are into the summer term…. Therefore, despite the predicted cold spell, we are fast approaching the summer.  And I for one am very pleased the days are getting longer and I don’t have to get up when it’s still dark outside.

The number of fatal stabbings in England and Wales last year was the highest since records began in 1946, official figures show. There were 285 killings by a knife or sharp instrument in the 12 months ending March 2018, Office for National Statistics analysis shows.

A Metropolitan police report released last month indicated that between 2014 and 2016 the number of children carrying knives in London schools rose by almost 50%, while the number of knife offences in London schools rose by 26%. The Liberal Democrat leader, Tim Farron, called it a “wake-up call”.
