National Home Security Month 2018

National Home Security Month is now into its sixth year.  A month-long campaign, throughout October, it raises awareness about the importance of home security as well as providing advice and information on how to keep your property safe and secure.

With the nights drawing in the risk of burglary increases, especially leading up to and over Halloween and bonfire night.  These are statistically the worst time of year, and home damage increases by 160% over the period!

Across each week of October this year, the 2018 National Home Security Month campaign will be featuring different aspects of home security, from the simple things you can do such as locks and windows to the high-tech, smart security options available.

Keep a look out for the following;

• Week 1: Raise the alarm
• Week 2: Setting the standard
• Week 3: Lights, camera, action
• Week 4: Future focused
• Week 5: Dark Knights descend
